Serangkaian deface website telah dilakukan antara Defacer Filipina dan Defacer Malaysia atas sengketa di tanah Sabah. Hacker yang mengaku sebagai bagian dari kelompok Anonymous Malaysia dan Anonymous Filipina melakukan attacking terhadap website satu sama lain.

Itu telah diperkuat bahwa Cyber War dibuat oleh Malaysia dan merusak situs milik pemerintah Moal Boal, Cebu, beberapa jam setelah bentrok antara polisi dan orang-orang bersenjata di Sulu pada hari Jumat.
Sementara itu toko online dari Filipina yang menjadi penyedia layanan mobile "Globe Telecom" direntas oleh hacker yang mengaku berasal dari "MALAYSIA Cyb3r 4rmy".
Di sisi lain Philippine Cyber Army mengklaim telah menyerang 175 situs yang berserver di Malaysia, "Greetings Malaysia! Greetings Government! Stop attacking over our cyberspace or else we will attack your cyber world!" hacker Filipina
Sampai saat ini, ketika beberapa website pemerintah Filipina telah direntas oleh kelompok yang menamakan diri mereka "Anonymous Malaysia" dengan meninggalkan pesan:
"Well, its time for us to PEACE and stop attacking each other. To end up this way, this is our last defacement and from now on none of us will step or touch ur (sic) country site and none of you are able to touch our country site. If u against (sic) this agreement, we wont accept any apology or excuses #wewillnotgodown"
